About the Role
As a Medical Assistant - Urology, you will be responsible for managing patient intakes, collecting and processing lab specimens, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, sterilizing medical equipment, assisting providers with data entry, and performing EKGs and point-of-care testing. You will also travel to various Progressive Urology locations in Queens and Manhattan for patient care needs.
About You
Required:
- Reliable transportation to travel to all NYH Progressive NYC and Manhasset locations for patient care needs.
- A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency with an EMR system.
