StrideCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team in Wylie, TX. The role involves providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting while performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.
About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will greet patients, obtain and record vital signs, assist with room preparation, issue pre- and post-procedure instructions, and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. You will also manage medical supply inventory, support patient flow in the clinic, and engage in cross-training initiatives to enhance clinic efficiency.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physician's office or hospital.
- Current basic life support certification or ability to complete the course within the first 30 days of employment.
- Proficient use of Athena EHR or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Strong communication and time management skills.
