About the Role
As a Medical Lab Scientist / Blood Bank, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests on patient specimens, adhering to standard operating procedures. Your duties will include performing biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, and microbiological tests, evaluating test results, and maintaining safety and infection control policies. You may also teach medical technology techniques and perform blood specimen collection.
About You
Required:
- Blood Bank specific experience
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical or biological science.
- Certification by an accreditation agency such as MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a laboratory setting.
Preferred:
- Experience with new equipment implementation in a laboratory environment.
- Teaching experience in medical technology.
