About the Role
As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will independently perform a variety of clinical assays, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and ensure quality control and assurance procedures are followed. You may specialize in areas such as Blood Bank, Chemistry, or Microbiology, and will be responsible for training new employees and teaching Medical Technology students. The position requires rotating weekends and holidays, and phlebotomy may be required.
About You
Required:
- Baccalaureate degree including laboratory internship at an institution certified by NAACLS.
- Eligible for certification by ASCP, NCA, or AMT for Medical Laboratory personnel.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of clinical tests and standards necessary to perform complex tests.
- Analytic ability to perform complex tests and interpret findings.
