Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician - Variable Shift to join their team in Beaumont, TX. The role involves providing laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and departmental standards of care.
About the Role
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine shift start-up, including quality controls and documentation, and maintain instrumentation. You will demonstrate knowledge of laboratory services principles while processing reliable test results under the supervision of a Medical Technologist. Your responsibilities will include utilizing Standard Precautions, assisting in quality assurance, maintaining equipment competency, and notifying healthcare team members of critical results in a timely manner.
About You
Required:
- Associate's Degree in related field or current credentials as MLS or CLS.
- Must be CLIA qualified for moderate or high complexity testing.
- AMT or ASCP certification or certification eligible.
Preferred:
- Completion of approved training program for Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Clinical laboratory setting experience within the last 10 years.
