ECU Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician I (MLT) - Generalist to join their team in Ahoskie, NC. The role involves performing clinical laboratory tests and ensuring the quality and accuracy of test results.
About the Role
As a Medical Laboratory Technician I, you will prepare patient specimens, monitor test results, communicate findings, maintain laboratory equipment, and perform other duties as assigned, including phlebotomy. You will work alternate shifts and demonstrate caring behavior in the workplace.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or currently enrolled in an accredited Clinical Laboratory Science Program (BS) with completed laboratory rotations.
- Equivalent laboratory training and/or work experience with the US military (2 years) will meet the education requirement.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP or other nationally recognized certifying agency.
