About the Role
As a Medical Records Specialist - Acute, you will be responsible for the qualitative workup of medical records, including the assignment of deficiencies, abstracting information for clinical indices, and preparing charts for billing. You will maintain the integrity of medical records through filing, assembling, analyzing, and retrieving confidential patient records while ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations. Additionally, you may assign ICD-10-PCS codes and assist in internal and external reporting.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of one year experience in Medical Records in a psychiatric setting required.
Preferred:
Prior experience as an abstractor in a health information management or related health care field.
