About the Role
As a Medical Records Technician (MRT), you will be responsible for assembling patient records, assigning codes for billing, inputting data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and ensuring compliance with privacy laws like HIPAA. You will serve as a liaison between healthcare providers and billing offices, prepare statistical reports, and maintain a safe working environment.
About You
Required:
- Strong understanding of medical terms.
- Skills in using computer systems and software applications for data management and coding.
- Attention to detail and ethical integrity in handling patient data.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident, residing in the US for 3 years of the past 5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR or BLS certification.
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a high-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant languages).
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification.
- Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification.
- Experience in DHS or ICE detention centers.
