About the Role
As a Medical Social Worker, you will work under the direction of a physician and be an active member of the health team. Your responsibilities will include conducting psychosocial assessments, providing emotional counseling to patients and families, and assisting the Interdisciplinary Team in understanding the social, emotional, and cultural factors related to terminal illness.
About You
Required:
- Master's Degree from a school accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Clinical experience relevant to the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Preferred:
- L.C.S.W. credential.
- Knowledge of psychosocial theories and treatment techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.
