Summary
Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to join their dynamic team in Lancaster, OH. The role involves supporting resident care by ensuring that residents' daily medication needs are met compassionately.
About the Role
As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are administered according to physician orders. You will understand and follow the 'Six rights of medication administration' and Bickford's policies regarding medication management. Additionally, you will utilize the eMAR system for medication administration and communicate with clinical leadership regarding resident care. You will also supervise non-licensed team members and demonstrate the Bickford Mission 'Whatever it Takes' to your team.
About You
Required:
- An active Medication Technician License in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Willing to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to utilize or learn Bickford's eMAR system to administer medications.
