Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a MEMS System Integration Engineer to join their Inertial MEMS Technology Group in Wilmington, MA. The role involves leading the development of MEMS system level products including inertial measurement units (IMUs) and inertial sensing modules.
About the Role
As a MEMS System Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for technical leadership in the development and characterization of cutting-edge system level products from concept to high volume production. Your tasks will include writing and maintaining embedded software for inertial MEMS products, developing state estimation algorithms, managing product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in the inertial sensing market.
About You
Required:
- MS or PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering
- 7+ years industrial experience in developing algorithms using C/C++ on embedded platforms
- Proficient in Bayesian estimation concepts and Kalman filters
- Deep understanding of inertial navigation principles, including sensor modeling and IMU error characterization
- Good understanding of communication protocols such as SPI, UART, Ethernet, I2C and RS-422
- Experience in design and bring-up of product prototypes in both Hardware and Software
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience conducting experiments with lab equipment
Preferred:
- Experience with ARM/DSP/FPGA platforms
- Experience with software development using MATLAB/Simulink or Python
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro
- Experience with MEMS process, packaging and manufacturing technology
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary team environments
- High energy and motivation required to lead product development
