About the Role
As a Mental Health Evaluator, you will be responsible for conducting initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' mental status and safety, synthesizing assessment data to identify problems and formulate care plans, and implementing interventions within legal and ethical parameters. You will also evaluate patient outcomes, report findings, and coordinate follow-up care and referrals as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, or a related field.
- Must meet the minimum standards for Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS) credentials as outlined by Texas Administrative code.
- Must obtain QMHP-CS within 6 months.
- Must complete Mental Health First Aid course within 3 months and complete 2 hours of mental health education annually.
Preferred:
- Experience in conducting crisis and psychosocial assessments.
- Familiarity with electronic referral systems and data reporting.
