Summary
Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Mental Health Screener for their Crisis Screening Center in Bridgeton, NJ. The role involves providing emergency screenings, evaluations, and crisis interventions to individuals in need.
About the Role
As a Certified Screener, you will be responsible for conducting face-to-face emergency screenings and evaluations, providing crisis interventions, and stabilizing clients in both community and hospital settings. You will also assist with hotline referrals, document all interactions, and participate in training and development activities.
About You
Required:
- Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one-year experience in a psychiatric setting, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years of experience in mental health, one of which is in a crisis or acute care setting.
- Completion of NJDMHS Crisis Training Certification, or eligibility to take this examination.
- Valid automobile driver's license with an MVR meeting agency standards.
- Ability to work overnight hours.
