Summary

Kentro is seeking a Mid-Level Event Planner & Communications Specialist to support their Defense Intelligence client onsite in Washington, D.C. This role involves planning and executing major Agency events while leading communications strategy and content development.

About the Role

As a Mid-Level Event Planner & Communications Specialist, you will coordinate major Agency events, including townhalls and awards ceremonies, and lead event preparation and execution. You will also develop communication strategies, draft messaging, and manage internal communications to ensure effective engagement across the organization.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in event planning and communications.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-profile events and communications for government or corporate clients.
Strong knowledge of event logistics, protocol, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Advanced degree in a relevant field.
Experience drafting executive-level materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communications tools.
