About the Role
As a Middle School History Teacher, you will work collaboratively with grade level teams to guide students in becoming self-directed learners. Your responsibilities will include facilitating discussions on historical topics, teaching an inclusive curriculum that highlights diverse histories, and analyzing student performance data to inform instruction. You will also build positive relationships with students and their families, participate in professional development, and contribute to a positive school culture.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years experience preferred).
- Academic expertise in Education, History, Geography, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or the Humanities.
Preferred:
- Experience in teaching middle school students.
- Ability to implement feedback to improve teaching outcomes.
