PRACTICE is seeking a Middle School Math Tutor to join their team in Queens, NY. The role involves providing Math support for students in grades 6-8 to help lower the student-to-educator ratio in classrooms.
About the Role
As a Middle School Math Tutor, you will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in Math, Reading, Writing, and Literacy. You will work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:15 AM to 2:35 PM, helping urban students reach their full potential and bridging language gaps. Your responsibilities include collaborating with teachers to develop personalized learning strategies and participating in ongoing training.
About You
Required:
- Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
- Passion for supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved and bilingual students.
Preferred:
- Experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Strong collaborative skills to work closely with teachers and school leaders.
