About the Role
As a Milieu Counselor, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for ensuring a safe and structured environment for patients in crisis. Your duties will include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), leading or co-leading therapeutic groups, performing safety checks, and documenting vital signs and patient intake/output. You will work closely with registered nurses to monitor patient needs and contribute to treatment planning in a trauma-informed care setting.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years of human service experience.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
- Prior human services, behavioral or psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
- Inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.
