About the Role
As a Military and Family Life Counselor, you will be responsible for delivering non-medical counseling services to children of military service members. Your duties will include conducting assessments, providing brief counseling, and offering training and wellness presentations. You will work closely with schools and military installations to ensure the needs of the community are met, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to DoD protocols.
About You
Required:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
- Valid unrestricted independent counseling license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) with a minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with military members and children.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (Microsoft Suite, video-conferencing platforms).
- Understanding and empathy for service members and their families.
