GE Aerospace is seeking a Military DoD SkillBridge Program - FLIGHT DECK Lean Specialist to join their team in Sterling, VA. The role involves driving process and quality improvements in manufacturing operations while supporting the FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
About the Role
As a Flight Deck Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, utilizing lean tools for process improvement, and executing training and development for the manufacturing team. You will collaborate across teams to sustain continuous improvement and achieve measurable results.
About You
Required:
- Active Military personnel on the last 180 days of service.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in lean deployment and execution ideally in a manufacturing environment).
- Minimum of 3 years of lean deployment and execution ideally in a manufacturing environment experience.
Preferred:
- Proficient in MS Office suite and industry specific tools (Visio, Minitab, Excel).
- Managed mid to large size transformational projects.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Transformation, Operational Excellence.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Kaizen Events, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Visual Management.
- Experience training others in principles of Lean methodology.
