AnySignal is seeking a Modem DSP Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves designing and integrating signal processing algorithms for various communications systems.
About the Role
As a Modem DSP Engineer, you will own the lifetime of DSP algorithms from initial analysis to field deployment. Your responsibilities include developing modeling infrastructure in MATLAB/Python/C++, collaborating with FPGA and software engineers for implementation, and ensuring rapid integration and deployment success.
About You
Required:
Strong knowledge of MATLAB or Python and C++ for DSP modeling purposes.
Strong understanding of modem DSP concepts, including framing/deframing, pulse shaping/matched filters, acquisition and tracking loops, spreaders/despreaders, AGC.
Ability to trade, analyze and implement channel coding components (Convolutional, Reed-Solomon, LDPC, Turbo codes).
Strong understanding of channel impairments and ability to characterize modems for their resilience to these effects.
Ability to work with FPGA engineers for implementing algorithms in gateware.
Preferred:
Experience developing waveforms from the ground up.
Excellent understanding of common satellite communications standards (ex. CCSDS, DVB-S2X).
Experience developing adaptive coding and modulation systems.
Experience developing LPI/LPD waveforms for use in adverse environments.
Knowledge of SystemVerilog or VHDL.
Experience with GNU Radio.
