About the Role
As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias, reporting changes in heart rate/rhythm to nursing staff, maintaining telemetry supplies, and recording patient conditions using computerized documentation systems. You will also mentor new staff and ensure compliance with standard precautions.
About You
Required:
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course with demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Preferred:
- CMT/Cardiac Experience
- Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
