Washington Trust Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to join their team in the Greater Seattle: Tacoma area. The role involves sourcing business through professional relationships and providing exceptional client service in the mortgage lending process.
About the Role
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will establish and develop relationships with real estate agents, complete loan applications, represent the bank to potential mortgage customers, and maintain responsibility for loan files from application through closing. You will also cross-sell bank products and services, meet production goals, and perform compliance and risk management duties as required.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan officer.
- Knowledge of real estate and mortgage banking industry.
- Ability to work independently and perform problem solving and decision making under minimal supervision.
- Strong detail orientation with high level of organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Truth-in-Lending and compliance with government regulations.
- Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and construction loan policies and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
