Summary
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Psych to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves treating patients, providing emotional support, and running therapeutic groups in a part-time capacity.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse Psych, you will be responsible for educating patients about mental and medical conditions, providing advice and emotional support, running therapeutic groups, and performing psychiatric crisis interventions. You will also record patients' medical histories, help with diagnostic tests, operate medical machinery, administer treatments and medications, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
About You
Required:
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process and behavioral health programming.
Preferred:
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
- Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
