Summary
Akumin® is seeking an MRI Technologist - Remote Services (on-site) to join their team in Plantation, FL. The role involves ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality magnetic resonance studies while overseeing remote MR Technologist Assistants.
About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the remote operation of multiple MR systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will oversee MR Technologist Assistants, ensuring patient safety through pre-screening and aseptic techniques. Effective communication with radiologists, team members, and patients is essential. Additionally, you will train and orient new technologists and MR Technologist Assistants, and perform other duties as assigned.
About You
Required:
- Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 2 years of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience
- Certified by the ARRT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Licensed to perform Magnetic Resonance in all applicable states
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred:
- Functional MRI experience
- Cardiac MRI experience
- ASL experience
- Diffusion Tensor Imaging Experience
- Spectroscopy
- Full Body Imaging experience
- Complex analysis
- Multi-vendor experience
