Parkland Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their team in Dallas, TX. The role involves performing quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging while adhering to the standards set by Parkland Health and regulatory agencies.
About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computerized MRI procedures on assigned patients, ensuring scanning needs are met, and reviewing physician orders. You will conduct patient screenings, explain procedures, administer contrast material, and maintain equipment. Additionally, you will participate in departmental performance improvement programs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology and/or MRI Program.
- 6 months clinical experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI (MR) within 6 months of hire or possess American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) upon hire and obtain ARRT(MR) within 6 months.
- Current Healthcare Provider (BLS Level) CPR course completion card prior to hire.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of MRI equipment, anatomy, physics, and computer skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with patient-centered care and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
