AdventHealth is seeking an MRI Technologist Weekend Night to join their team in Altamonte Springs, FL. The role involves performing high-quality MRI examinations and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and administering IV contrast material, educating patients about MRI procedures, and performing daily quality control checks. You will ensure that exam rooms are clean and stocked, operate imaging equipment safely, and maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records. The position requires working night shifts on weekends.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support - CPR Certification (BLS).
- Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and scanners.
- Customer service skills and ability to work in a changing environment.
- Basic IV skills and understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in a relevant field.
- General computer skills and knowledge of PACS.
- General physics and anatomy knowledge.
- 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program.
