About the Role
As a Paraprofessional - Special Education, you will be responsible for assisting students in a general education classroom, preparing lesson materials, presenting subject matter under teacher guidance, supervising students, and maintaining a supportive environment. You will also assist with self-care and hygiene, enforce school policies, and maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
About You
Required:
- Must have a registered license with the Regional Office of Education #17 at the time of hire.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented.
Preferred:
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment.
