Summary
Gateway Fiber is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team in Wright City, MO. The role involves design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of IP networks to support the company's goal of expanding internet service to 500,000 homes and businesses.
About the Role
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating and solving advanced network requirements, utilizing performance and reliability analysis, implementing network applications, and developing policies to resolve technical problems. You will also assist other departments with issue resolution and customer communication.
About You
Required:
- 2+ to 5 years’ experience in Carrier Grade Layer 3 Core Network Routing, Architecture, Design, and Implementation.
- Routing Protocol Knowledge (OSPFv3, IS-IS, BGP, IBGP, RIP) is absolutely required.
- Experience with MPLS, Multicast and various WAN protocols is required.
- Excellent Communications and Interpersonal Skills required.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Juniper JUNOS and Juniper MX Series Core Routers.
- Experience with Cisco and/or other Core Router manufacturers.
- Cisco Catalyst Switch Knowledge.
- Calix GPON/XGS-PON/AXOS experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related educational path.
