Wildeck, Inc is seeking a New Product Development Engineer to join their team in Waukesha, WI. The role involves designing, testing, and integrating mechanical systems for new product development.
About the Role
As a New Product Development Engineer, you will research and select mechanical components, resolve mechanical issues, coordinate with sales and manufacturing teams, and utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and specifications. You will also perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product reliability and performance.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Two years’ related experience in new product development.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of finite element analysis (FEA).
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, systems, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of proper welding designations.
- Knowledge of elevator industry safety requirements and elevator codes.
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
- Travel up to 10% per year.
