About the Role
As the NMS Boys Baseball Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an athlete-centered coaching philosophy, ensuring the safety of facilities and equipment, monitoring environmental conditions, and providing immediate care for injuries. You will also design training programs, facilitate the growth of athletes, organize practices, and manage games effectively while maintaining positive relationships with parents and the community.
About You
Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated management, leadership, and human relations skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions.
- Completion of a Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association approved course in the care and prevention of athletic injuries by the end of the first year of coaching.
- Accredited Interscholastic Coach certification from the National Federation of High Schools by the end of the first year of coaching.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to the duties and responsibilities listed.
- Experience in coaching or working with youth in a sports environment.
