About the Role
As a Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for managing a limited patient panel of geriatric patients with Medicare Advantage coverage. You will work in a 'Quality vs. Quantity Model' with 5 to 7 admissions a night, ensuring that all patients have a WellMed primary care provider. Your role will include practicing medicine autonomously while being supported by a national healthcare organization, and you will be incentivized based on quality metrics.
About You
Required:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas.
- Valid DEA license.
- Ability to work 12 hours at night on a regular basis.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.
- A working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
