Summary
Texas A&M AgriLife Research is seeking a Non-Affiliated Student Technician to join their team in Dallas, Texas. The role involves providing administrative and technical support for the Strong Teens for Healthy Schools program.
About the Role
As a Non-Affiliated Student Technician, you will participate in orientation and training, prepare and teach lessons to middle school students, attend weekly meetings, and assist in program evaluation. You will also serve as a role model for youth, work with school staff and fellow implementers, and provide direct mentor support.
About You
Required:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program.
- Motivated to learn.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to local schools in the county to deliver programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities and tasks as assigned.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working with middle school youth.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Benefits
