About the Role
As an Emotional Disability Special Education Assistant, you will support teachers in various instructional, clerical, and student management tasks. Your responsibilities will include working with special education students in both special education and general classrooms, adapting to the changing needs of students, and supervising students in community settings. You will also participate in training provided by the Special Education Department.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs.
- Strong tutorial skills and ability to relate well with students, staff, and parents.
- Positive attitude and ability to complete tasks independently.
- Strong office, computer, and oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional methods.
Preferred:
- Flexibility to meet the changing needs of students.
