Summary
VitalPath is seeking a NPD Engineer I to join their team in Maplewood, MN. The role involves designing and developing innovative medical products and manufacturing processes.
About the Role
As a New Product Development Engineer I, you will assist in the development and validation of new catheter designs, aid in refining product designs for manufacturing, create detailed documentation for standardization, collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve product issues, and provide training on manufacturing processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or other relevant Engineering required.
- Minimum 0-3 years working in a catheter or medical component development and manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A working knowledge of minimally invasive medical device design, development, and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and Solidworks.
- Experience with Minitab.
- Experience with design controls, FDA regulation, GMP, GDP, and QMS requirements.
- Must be able to work with a microscope and sit and/or stand for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma.
- Experience with lean manufacturing processes.
