About the Role
As a Nurse Anesthetist II PRN, you will function as an experienced Certified Nurse Anesthetist under the direction of the attending Anesthesiologist. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, developing anesthesia plans, administering anesthesia, and participating in research and educational activities within the Department of Anesthesiology.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Completion of Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Four years of anesthesia experience.
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure.
- APRN-CRNA - Certified Nurse Anesthetist NP - State Licensure.
- CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification.
- BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated skills and competencies necessary to safely perform assigned job.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of current anesthesia practices, especially for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
- Expertise in the placement of invasive monitoring devices.
