AHRC Nassau is seeking a Nurse Educator – DSP/Staff Training to join their team in Plainview, NY. The role involves training and certifying direct support professionals (DSPs) and other staff on essential health topics to ensure safe, quality care.
About the Role
As a Nurse Educator, you will educate staff on various medical and health-related topics, including CPR, AMAP, Infection Control, and more. You will facilitate training using diverse instructional techniques, ensure staff receive adequate medical training, and assist in developing curricula. The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, as well as travel to program locations for onsite training.
About You
Required:
- NYS Registered Nurse Licensure
- Strong public speaking abilities
- Ability to work weekends as needed
Preferred:
- Experience working in the field of Intellectual Disability/Development Disability
- Teaching experience
- Proficient in utilizing all MS Office Suite applications and virtual platforms like Teams and Zoom
