Summary

Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, is seeking a Full Time Nurse Navigator for their Arlington office. The role involves providing professional nursing care for patients and assisting them in navigating the healthcare system.

About the Role

As a Nurse Navigator, you will provide individual assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to overcome healthcare system barriers and ensure timely access to quality healthcare. You will utilize the nursing process to provide patient education and access to resources, facilitate informed decision-making, and collaborate with various internal and external departments to promote patient navigation.

About You

Required:

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, preferably in an oncology environment.
Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
Current CPR certification required.

Preferred:

Current or pending Oncology certification.
Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer.
