About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Neuroscience ICU, you will collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide ongoing patient care and management. You will perform routine clinical procedures independently and partner with teams in Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, and Neurology to deliver medical and perioperative care during critical illness. The position also involves participating in employee recognition activities and contributing to the Advanced Practice Provider Advisory Council.
About You
Required:
- Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (for Nurse Practitioners).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (for Physician Assistants).
- State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
Preferred:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (for Nurse Practitioners).
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (for Physician Assistants).
- Experience or interest in Neuroscience ICU, acute care, neurocritical care, surgical ICU, and medical ICU.
