About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Surgery, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all inpatient care for surgical patients. Your duties will include evaluating care, ordering diagnostics, creating treatment plans, participating in patient sign-out, rounding with surgical teams, and managing surgical consultations. You will also be involved in resuscitations, coordinating procedures, admitting and discharging patients, and providing comprehensive care in a trauma-informed manner.
About You
Required:
- Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
- Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- NP National Board Certification (Adult Gerontology Acute Care AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG).
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Two years of experience as Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred:
- Experience in Trauma/Critical Care nursing.
- Experience in Surgical Critical Care as NP.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
