About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner 2 in the Department of Surgery, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all inpatient care for surgical patients, including consults, diagnostics, treatment plans, and multi-disciplinary care coordination. You will work closely with surgical teams, participate in patient resuscitations, and handle admissions and discharges. The role requires advanced medical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
About You
Required:
- Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
- Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- NP National Board Certification (AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG).
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- One or more years of experience as Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Windows and MS Office software applications.
- Experience in Trauma/Critical Care nursing.
- Familiarity with UC policies and procedures.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
