AdventHealth is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to join their team in Maitland, FL. The role involves facilitating nursing professional development, mentoring, and guiding learners towards desired outcomes.
About the Role
As a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, you will function as a learning facilitator and change agent, assessing opportunities and challenges within the organization. You will create and coordinate orientation for new nursing staff, serve as a resource for clinical inquiry, and design educational activities rooted in adult learning principles. Your role will also include promoting certification and advanced education for nursing staff.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Two years of nursing experience
- Current, valid Florida State of Nursing license as a registered professional nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
- Advanced Life Support Provider Certification, per specialty
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred:
- Master's degree in nursing or related field
- Prior experience as a preceptor/educator
- Previous teaching experience in formal/informal settings
- Experience in specialty area applying for
- Certification as Nursing Professional Development Educator
- Certification in clinical or educator specialty
- Basic or advanced life support instructor, depending on specialty
