About the Role
The role involves compiling and interpreting data for budget preparation, preparing reports for various agencies, maintaining accounting records related to personnel, salaries, inventories, fund appropriations, accounts payable/receivable, performing complex journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing transaction summaries, overseeing financial office support, supervising clerical staff, assisting personnel and the public with financial inquiries, and training staff on relevant policies and procedures.
About You
Required:
- Equivalent to a two-year degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field.
- Three years of experience comparable to Account Clerk II within Washoe County School District, including one year preparing financial statements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access.
- Ability to perform accounting and full-charge bookkeeping duties with minimal supervision.
- Skill in verifying, compiling, reconciling, and interpreting financial data.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
