About the Role
As a Nutritionist (Consultant), you will be responsible for menu review and updates, staff training, classroom curriculum support, and conducting required audits and assessments. You will collaborate with the Health & Nutrition Specialist to monitor at-risk children and develop action plans. This is a contract position requiring limited travel to Head Start sites, averaging approximately 10 hours per month.
About You
Required:
- Registered dietitian nutritionist or nutrition and dietetic technician, registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Experience in community nutrition, including services to children.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to successfully complete a CORI/SORI/DCF review every two years.
- Mandatory physical and evidence of negative Mantoux, required by DEEC.
