PseudolithIC is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join their team in Santa Barbara, CA. The role involves defining the roadmap from chip specification to delivered packaged die and collaborating with the Design Team on packaging and verification approaches.
About the Role
As a Senior RF Engineer, you will work closely with RFIC designers to model packaging, transitions, and verification approaches that reduce product costs. You will have opportunities to develop antenna in package solutions and unique packaging approaches leveraging heterogeneous integration. The role requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with the manufacturing team.
About You
Required:
Deep understanding of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave theories and concepts related to S-parameters, de-embedding, matching, and microwave components.
Product success in design and modeling of front-end module packaging accounting for parasitics and transitions.
Knowledge of noise, linearity, mismatch, stability, and analog impairments characterization.
Knowledge of semiconductor technologies for RF applications.
Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively with other members of the product development team.
BS with 12+ years experience, MS + 7 years, or PhD + 5 years in electrical engineering or related field.
Preferred:
Experience with antenna design and co-integration of chips and antennas through packaging.
Proficient use of Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR for co-design of chip and package.
Fluency with 3D electromagnetic simulation, e.g. Momentum, Clarity, or HFSS.
Experience in RF/mm-wave measurements including network analysis, pulsed power, and low noise.
Experience designing test/demo boards, including managing vendors and schedules.
