About the Role
As an Occ Health Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, assisting with minor procedures, managing patient care including referrals and scheduling, providing clerical support, maintaining a clean environment, and developing effective communication with patients and staff. You will work under the direct supervision of healthcare providers and interact with various departments to ensure optimal patient care.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with office medical procedures and treatments.
- Knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software.
