Summary
DLA Piper is seeking an Of Counsel - Litigation (Product Liability) to join its Litigation group. This position is open to any of their U.S. offices.
About the Role
As an Of Counsel, you will be responsible for reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda, communicating with clients, supervising associates, working with experts, assisting with fact development and depositions, and helping develop case strategy.
About You
Required:
- JD from a nationally recognized school.
- Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.
- Must have a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology).
- 8+ years of experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Extensive experience writing briefs, including Rule 702 and Daubert issues.
- Experience with products liability litigation.
Preferred:
- Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
