Summary
State of Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Official Court Reporter for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Branch 45, starting September 7, 2025.
About the Role
As an Official Court Reporter, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing court proceedings, managing audio recordings, and ensuring the integrity of the legal record. You will work closely with judges and legal professionals to provide timely and precise documentation of court activities.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from a court reporting school approved by the NCRA or NVRA, or successful completion of the RPR or CVR examination.
- Training and/or experience in legal terminology and procedures.
- Demonstrated English grammar, spelling, composition, and punctuation skills.
- Experience in a court or legal setting.
- Ability to operate digital audio recording equipment and transcribe the record.
Preferred:
- Certified Electronic Reporter and Transcriber certification from the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers.
- Work experience as a digital court reporter.
