Summary
Think Together is seeking an Older Youth Leader to join their team in Bloomington, CA. The role involves working directly with a class of approximately 20-25 students, serving as a positive role model, coach, and mentor.
About the Role
As an Older Youth Leader, you will be responsible for providing homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activities. You will create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging, support positive behavior choices, and assist in lesson planning. Your role will require strong leadership, communication, and patience to help students succeed.
About You
Required:
- 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum age of 22.
- At least six months experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
- Advanced Math and English skills (6 - 12 grade).
- Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
Preferred:
- Ability to speak and write Standard English appropriate in a public school setting.
- Support our English-learner population by being bi-literate (Spanish preferred).
