WSP in the U.S. is seeking an On-Call Emergency Management Specialist - Preparedness to join their team, with the potential to report out of various offices including Exton, PA.
About the Role
As an On-Call Emergency Management Specialist, you will support the Emergency Management team in servicing clients in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Your responsibilities will include developing emergency management plans, conducting training programs, analyzing data for operational recommendations, and assisting in the development of compliant exercises. This role requires travel as needed and is dependent on project demands.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience, including 1+ years in emergency management.
- Completion of IS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
- Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles and methods.
- Ability to travel to client sites as required.
Preferred:
- Completion of FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series.
- State Emergency Management Certifications.
- Completion of Introduction to Emergency Management Planning (G-235 or IS-235).
- Knowledge of NIMS, ICS, NRF, NDRF, and other federal preparedness guidance.
- Completion of E/L/K-146 Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program.
