About the Role
As an On-Call Emergency Management Specialist, you will assist in servicing clients by preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. Your responsibilities will include developing emergency management plans, conducting training programs, analyzing data for operational recommendations, and supporting project management functions. This position is on an on-call basis and requires travel as needed.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience, including 1+ years in emergency management.
- Completion of IS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
- Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles and techniques.
- Ability to travel to client sites as required.
Preferred:
- Completion of FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series.
- State Emergency Management Certifications.
- Completion of Introduction to Emergency Management Planning (G-235 or IS-235).
- Knowledge of NIMS, ICS, NRF, NDRF, and other federal preparedness guidance.
- Completion of E/L/K-146 Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program.
